Discover how I blend evidence-based therapeutic modalities with mindfulness practices to create a holistic approach tailored to your unique needs and healing journey.

Core Therapeutic Framework

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with both a Master’s and post-Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University, my practice draws from multiple therapeutic traditions. I integrate psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and somatic experiencing with mindfulness-based interventions that I’ve refined through specialized training at the Interdependence Project in NYC.

This integrative framework allows us to address both immediate symptoms and their deeper roots, creating lasting transformation rather than temporary relief. We’ll work collaboratively to identify patterns that may be limiting your growth and develop practical strategies for meaningful change that extend beyond our sessions into your daily life.

The Mindfulness Difference

Breath awareness and mindfulness practices form the cornerstone of my therapeutic approach—hence the name “Return To Your Breath.” These skills help you develop greater present-moment awareness, emotional regulation capacity, and self-compassion. Even complex emotional states become more manageable when approached with mindful awareness of both body sensations and thought patterns.

As a mindfulness meditation teacher and stress reduction expert, I’ve witnessed how these practices can accelerate the therapeutic process by creating a foundation of self-awareness that supports deeper insights and more sustainable change.

A Holistic View of Wellbeing

True psychological health doesn’t exist in isolation from other aspects of your life. My approach considers the entire spectrum of human performance—examining not just thoughts and emotions, but also relationships, physical health, sleep patterns, and lifestyle factors that influence your wellbeing. This comprehensive perspective allows us to address root causes rather than just symptoms.

The central question guiding our work together will be: “What do you need in order to be happiest and most fulfilled?” This reflective inquiry serves as a compass for our therapeutic journey, helping you identify and remove obstacles to living your most authentic and inspired life.

The Therapeutic Relationship

I believe the quality of our therapeutic relationship is fundamental to successful outcomes. I strive to create a space that balances compassionate acceptance with thoughtful challenge. My approach is warm, direct, and non-judgmental, providing both support and accountability as you navigate your growth process.

As someone who values creative expression in my own life—through music, sound therapy, and other outlets—I recognize the importance of finding multiple channels for processing and transformation. This appreciation for diverse modalities of healing informs how I collaborate with each client to find approaches that resonate most deeply with their unique needs.
